We are proud to announce that we are celebrating our 75th year as an organization.
The Animal Rescue League of Southern Rhode Island started in 1938 with a small number of concerned citizens that recognized the need for a humane organization dedicated to the protection and care of stray, abandoned, abused and homeless animals. In 1969 ARL/SRI moved to Curtis Corner Road in Peace Dale Rhode Island, where we care for approximately 40 cats, and 15 dogs, and other small animals such as rabbits at any given time.
To celebrate this huge accomplishment, we will be kicking the celebration off with our first ever “A Diamond in the Ruff” on February 22, 2013 at the Towers in Narragansett. Enjoy food and beverage samples from some of South County’s best restaurants and businesses. Take a chance on our huge raffle and silent auction. You can also help us choose our very own “Queen of Diamonds”. Enjoy yourself with friends and family while supporting the “diamonds in the ruff” that we have been caring for at the ARLSRI for 75 years!
