Do you enjoy reading? "Hobie" loves to curl up on top of a good book, when his owner, Hannah is reading. Books can help you learn new things, understand new ideas and explore the world around you. A good book can take you on a journey to a place you've never been before and you don't even have to leave your chair! Not only does reading expand your knowledge, it also opens up your mind and helps you appreciate life.

Book Review of the Month:
Lucky Boy by Susan Boase is the story of a little dog whose life did not start out very lucky. He has been adopted by a family with little time for him, and he is lonely and sad. The author describes Lucky Boy’s situation vividly, and the reader can really understand what Lucky Boy is feeling. The illustrations are wonderful and they help the reader visualize Lucky Boy’s life. Fortunately, the story has a happy ending and “Lucky Boy” finds a home where he is content and cared for.
I enjoyed this story for several reasons: I loved the illustrations, I liked the happy ending, and I was glad that the story taught an important lesson, namely, how important it is to make the right choice when choosing a pet for your family. It’s a great book to share with a younger child to help them to learn about the responsibilities associated with taking care of a pet and what a dog needs to be happy.
