The O'Neill Bike Path - Peace Dale

This month's Pet Walk is Saturday, June 13 starting at 9:00 AM and covers a portion of the O'Neill Bike Path in South Kingstown. The starting point is the parking lot for Kingston Pizza at 1283 Kingstown Road (Route 108) in Peace Dale. After walking the Bike Path from Peace Dale to Wakefield, we will walk down Main Street where we will see the new Saugatucket River Walkway and the Wakefield waterfall. From there the walk goes up High Street, through Saugatucket Park, and across the foot bridge over the Saugatucket River, and then back to the starting point. This walk is approximately 2-1/2 miles and takes about an hour.
The cost of the walk is $10.00 per person. Children accompanied by an adult and pets are free. You do not need to pre-register; however, you are encouraged to arrive on time so that you can register and get the required pet walker sticker. Pet owners must bring water for themselves and their pets. All pets must be on a leash or otherwise secured. Owners are responsible for picking up after their pets and a copy of the pet's current rabies certificate is required to participate. Refreshments will be served at the end of the walk.

The William C. O'Neill Bike Path stretches 5.6 miles from the Kingston Train Station to Wakefield. This walk starts in Peace Dale and goes to the Saugatucket Riverwalk behind Main Street in Wakefield. The bike path is paved and level.
