Misty is a senior girl that we are estimating to be about 14-15 years old. She was left in a carrier at our shelter gate. She has such a sweet temperament and is an absolute beauty. She was more then likely in the same home for years and is shocked and sad to find herself here. Misty doesn’t ask for much, just a home that she can live out her golden years in and where she will feel unconditional love outside a cage in a shelter. She has been to a vet and found to be in excellent health. Please make Misty’s story have a happy ending this holiday season! (Posted 12/15/11)

Our Shelter Manager
Jennifer joins the ARLSRI team after having served the past 4 years as both a board member and a volunteer of a local animal organization (Pet Refuge in North Kingstown). Jennifer is very excited to be able to fulfill her life long passion to be able to work full-time in animal welfare and to care for homeless animals.
Jennifer has over 14 years of sales and management experience. She is looking forward to combining her corporate business background with her experience in animal welfare, thus bringing about positive changes for ARLSRI, while supporting the mission and vision currently in place.
Jennifer is a native Rhode Islander and lives South Kingstown with her husband Martin and her many feline friends that she has rescued (and fostered) over the years.
On behalf of everyone at ARLSRI, we warmly welcome Jennifer to our agency and to our Shelter Manager role! Please stop by the shelter and introduce yourself to Jennifer.

Baby Ready Pets; A Free Workshop for Expectant Parents
The Animal Rescue League of Southern Rhode Island in collaboration with South County Hospital is proud to present a FREE monthly workshop to expectant parents and their families! This workshop helps to prepare your pet for the arrival of your new bundle of joy. With a little training and assistance, you can make it a safe and (relatively) stress-free experience for the whole family. We are here to help!
